Services

Functional depth, hands-on platform work, and clean numbers

Three areas of work, scoped honestly. Custom plugin, PCF, and integration development is outside my scope; when a project needs it, I'll say so up front.

Dynamics 365 functional consulting

Turn unclear business needs into requirements your build team can deliver against.

  • Client discovery and process walkthroughs
  • Requirements gathering and L3 documentation
  • Gap analysis: current process vs. target functionality
  • UAT planning, test scripts, and execution support
  • Stakeholder communication and status reporting

Power Platform & Power Pages

Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting across the Microsoft business apps stack.

  • Power Pages login and account provisioning
  • Portal authentication, web roles, and table permissions
  • Dataverse tables, relationships, and app behavior
  • Dynamics 365 Customer Service Workspace
  • Troubleshooting notes and clear documentation

Reporting reconciliation & data cleanup

Find out why the dashboard, the ERP export, and the spreadsheet don't agree.

  • Comparing dashboards, query results, and spreadsheets
  • SQL and Snowflake query review
  • Sisense dashboard and filter checks
  • NetSuite and OpenAir project and customer data
  • Customer data cleanup and client-ready Excel reports

How engagements work

Simple to start, easy to scale down

Weekly hour blocks

A committed number of hours per week in renewable four-week blocks. Good for filling a BA, UAT, or Power Pages seat for the length of a project, then releasing it when the work is done.

Fixed-fee sprints

A defined scope, a defined set of deliverables, and a set price. Good for a requirements package, a UAT cycle, or a reporting reconciliation.

  1. Short intro callWe talk through the project, the gap, and timing.
  2. Written scopeYou get scope, deliverables, and boundaries in writing within a couple of business days.
  3. Work under your brandI work in your tenant, your tools, and your process, as part of your team.
  4. Weekly statusA short written update each week on progress, risks, and open questions.

All work is remote. I respect your client relationships and non-solicitation terms.

For professional services firms

The Reporting Truth Check

When your ERP, your dashboard, and your spreadsheet show three different numbers for utilization, backlog, or revenue by project, leadership ends up arguing about data instead of acting on it.

The Truth Check is a fixed-fee, two-week review that traces each disputed number back to its source and explains the difference, whether it's a filter, a project status, a reporting period, or a transformation rule.

Ask about a Truth Check

What you get

  • A source-to-report trace for up to three disputed metrics
  • A reconciled workbook showing where the numbers diverge
  • A one-page metric definitions sheet everyone can agree on
  • A findings memo listing each cause and the recommended fix

Read-only access. No ERP configuration changes and no accounting or audit opinions. Fixes that need a developer or ERP admin are written up as clear specifications.

About

Caleb Gonzalez

I'm the founder of Summit Grid Solutions, based in the Kansas City area. I started as a Dynamics 365 functional consultant, leading discovery conversations, gathering requirements, writing L3 documentation and gap analyses, supporting UAT, and keeping stakeholders aligned.

From there I moved into hands-on Power Platform engineering on Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Customer Service Workspace, and Power Pages, including portal login and account-provisioning work. Alongside that, I do analytics and reporting consulting: reconciling dashboards, query results, and spreadsheets, and cleaning up business data.

That mix means I can sit between the business and the build: understand what a client actually needs, turn it into something specific, and check that what ships does what it should.
